If you don't want to learn to do it yourself, then I would suggest you talk to madwolf...especially since he's a supporting member of this site. :)

Well how easy is it to do it. I do have a laptop and maybe my 13 yr old can figure it out for me. How expensive is it to send it out or by the progranmming or what ever it does. :D

Check out www.madz28.com or www.pcmforless.com
If you want to buy the stuff to do it yourself, it would probably cost you around $300. I'd suggest you look into tunercat for the programming, datamaster for logging, and get a cable from akmcables.com
I would suggest that you look into learning how to do it yourself. A mail order tune is a great way to get you started, but the only way to have it completely right is to have the car right there with you...and no mail order guy has your car. :)

Well both places seem to charge a fair price, I guess I can start with one of them to get me in the ballpark. thanks for the info Andel:D

Just a word of caution. When cars come into the shop for "tuning" running like $hit, 9/10's of the time there are one or more mechanical/electrical problems with the setup that must be corrected prior to any effective tuning. The further from stock the car is, the more likely something is messed up. Everything from plug wires being crossed, bad sensors, bad Optis (if so equipped), tired sparkplugs, to major mechanical problems. You can't tune around these kinds of things.
I'd advise taking the whole car to a shop that understands fuel injection and not just sending the PCM out, unless you are absolutely certain everything is perfect except the tune you are likely to be very disappointed and wasting your money.

Thanks Rich, that was the first thing I did. New wires, new plugs (car didn't even run till I put plugs) wires did make a big difference. MSD digi 6 2-3 days ago and that was the biggest difference in the car. But I believe my msd is a bandaid to my car running to rich. Is the car running perfect or great No, I believe with all my mods it will not run right. My car is heavly modded.
This will probaby my last expense and then I will decide whether to go carb as I have been asking others on this forum for their input. thanks Andel

Another vote here for Madwolf (http://www.madz28.com/) . As said though make sure everything else is ok with the vehicle.
