That's what it sounds like if it feels like it isn't locking up....or is the transmission itself just not going into OD?

It could be:
1) You've got a non-lockup converter by mistake.
2) The converter isn't locking up like it should.
3) Something in your tranny went wrong.
Another thing is, if you've got the "performance shift mode" button hooked up on your car, don't use it. I wired mine up, and it wouldn't lockup the converter. I stopped using the shift mode button, it locked up like it should.
guys im all confused now look, heres the part number on the converter tci-243105. i got it from summit they recommended it, but it took 3 of these damn things to even get it to sit in the tranny right. honestly i dont know if its a locking or non locking converter. sounds like a need a locking one correct?

I concur. Does it feel like its normally crusing around on the highway with the stock converter, or does the rpm's jump around alot, and feels like its inbetween neutral and drive?
it jumps around, i can be driving around at 60 give her a little gas and the rpms jsut shoot up, like its in nuetral (no go).

no not yet still has a mind of its own. one time i drive it and its at 2100 rpms another time its at 3200 rpm. its really getting on my nerves. waiting to get a shift kit and programming to see if it helps.
