Question Overdrive

Ok I was working on my car a few weeks ago and I had to move the PCM and unhook the battery. Well anyway Ive done this before and didnt have a problem. But now my car doesnt seem to want to go into overdrive even if I mash the pedal all the way to the floor, no overdrive. Usually if I go WOT about 3 times then the overdrive will finally awaken on the 4 WOT, but if I shut the car off and drive again the overdrive is gone again until I do the WOT runs again. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be, do I need to reset my PCM? Any help is appreciated

Maybe I dont understand exactly what is happening, but if you floor the car, it should downshift out of overdrive and into a lower gear. I cant imagine the car going into overdrive at all if you are at wide open throttle.

bsmith,
I believe he is referring to the fact that 4L60Es have a nasty delay before the downshift to third (passing gear) when going WOT at highway speeds. This is my biggest pet peeve with the A4. I tend to do the same thing, mash the accelerator till the stupid 'puter realizes I need the car to go fast. It really drives me nuts sometimes ... no hwy racing for me.

Z28-CTYHNTR, sorry I can't be any help. Here's another thread I started on the subject.http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...threadid=31955
