buy new or rebuilt??

Just ordered a rebuilt power stearing pump from jason cromer and i asked him what he thought was better new or rebuilt. He told me new but if i didnt have the money rebuilt is good also cause it still came with the one year warranty. I am starting to think about buying rebuilt parts and how well they hold up when i really start to mod my car. I have a rebuilt trany and no probs(knock on wood). What do you think? Is it alright to buy rebuilt than new or just go with new? By the way it was 250 for a new one and 87 bucks with a 20 core which would make it 67. Sound good or should have bought new??

Need feedback.

Sorry, I don't trust rebuilt. I really hate doing anything twice.

Depends on your budget, and who does the rebuild. Since it's from Jason Cromer, I assume it's a AC Delco rebuild? If so, wounds like you made the right choice if you have a better use for the extra $180 a new unit would have cost.

Thumbs down

Once I bought rebuilt PS pump, it failed next day. Have also bough rebuilt water pump, it failed within three months, leaking the coolant to my opti. Haven't bought any rebuilt components since.
