z06 rims won't fit?
Received my 18x9.5 z06 rims today from afswheels, bought off ebay. They're for my '94 v6. Took them to my local tire shop, because I was trading in some tires there, so I was going to buy tires there. They had like 3 different kinds they thought would fit, and said that the 245s would be the best...but of course they dont fit the rim. After they tried to get them on, they told me there is no tire you can put on that rim that will make it fit the car.
So I know people have done it, what kind of tires do I need? Any suggestions? I dont really care about performance tires, its just a 3.4, just going for looks. Or should I look into returning these things if by some chance afswheels will let me do it.
Thanks.

+56mm offset.
The guys were saying that even with only the rim on, no tire on yet, you could barely fit your finger between the rim and the wheel well.
So these SHOULD fit with the proper tires?

I am running the same rims with 275/35s and I bolted em on myself no problem. Those guys are idiots trying to squeeze 245s onto those rims. Just tell em to put some 275s on there and put em on yourself. I wouldn't even trust those guys with an impact hammer around my chrome.

inspect those rims VERY closely after those IDIOTS are done with it. I'm sure you will find a spot chipped out of your rims.
FUNNIEST THOUGHT EVER!!! 3 redneck mechanics all leaning over your rims trying to get the tire to fit. hahahahaha!!!
But really, inspect it before ya put them on the car.
