Arrow Need some advice on my next project.

Ok so I got fired from my job and I need projects that take some time so I do not end up spending to much money. One thing I have been wanting to do for a while is install some neon behind my hood vents.

Just case any of you miss the point they are those little vents on the top of the hood.

My questions are what should I use to hollow these things out? I was thinking of about using a dremer (sp) tool but does anyone else have any ideas? On the vents they have like little hole indentions so I could hollow those out or just hollow out the entire vent. Also I figure someone else has done this on the board before and I was wondering what would be the best size neon to use? Last thing is I was wondering what color would look the best in the vents. At the moment I have a green UB, a blue LP and a red setup insode the car (however I plan on converting this to blue and green soon). So what color do you think would look the best?
