aftermarket tach

need help with installing an aftermarket tach in a 91 camaro rs 305 tbi

Red - switched 12v power (power when the key is in the on/run position)
Blk - ground
green - only powered when the parking/headlights are on for illumination of the tach
white - goes to the white wire going to the coil.

Might wanna check the instructions to make sure I dont have the green and white backwards.

i believe the white is for light, and the green for the tach
