2.8L 84 Camaro misfiring on acceleration
I recently bought an 84 Camaro and if you try to accelerate too fast the engine will misfire. It does not misfire in easy throttle but if you rev the engine or accelrate to quickly the engine will immediately misfire.....the problem occurs worse when the engine is cold.I cant find any wacuum diagrams for a 84 camaro V6. The engine was rebuilt and the cylinders bored out.....But the guy didnt connect everything up and he may have skipped over a few things. Do you happen to know where the EGR valve is located? Also, any other suggestions as to what could be causing the problem?
Thanks,
Aaron
P.S. I just recently Changed the plugs and made sure to set the gap to factory specs.

I had the same problem, it was my fuel injectors (1 of them any how).. I had to test them all to find out which one was bad, it was on a MPFI 2.8L. As for the EGR, if you have MPFT, it comes off the front of the intake manifold and curves down and bolts on to the exhaust manifold.

(no mods yet, mostly stock except the 305 was removed and replaced with a 350)
Suggestions very much welcome!
