Hey All,

I'm sure these questions have been asked a million times, but I am a wheel noob and I would appreciate your help. I did a search and it answered a few of my questions, but I'd rather hear the answers for my setup.

I have an 01 WS6. I recently found a good deal on black Z06 wheels with a chrome lip. I plan on running 17x9.5 in the front and 18x10.5 in the rear.

Questions:

1. First of all: Will these fit!? Will I need spacers? other adjustments?

2. What tire size/brand would you suggest? I would like something with decent traction, maybe a drag radial in the rear, and something moderate for the front.

If the backspace and offset is right, which i assume they are then they should fit yes. Depending on the rear tire you may need to do some hammering and or grinding on the rear caliper (not for sure) A good rear tire to run would be a nitto 555 or something along the lines of a street legal DOT tire if you plan on running the car on the street. As far as front tires you can run a variety of things. I have Kumho tires all the way around but i will get nittos for the rears once i burn these off.

As far as the tires, I have heard several different peopls mention Nitto, but also BF goodrich. I dont know personally though, since I have not gone to a performance tire yet. I am still saving for the rims and tires for mine.

 

I did read through there a bit actually, VERY nice guide.

However, and i may have overlooked, but I didn't see these sizes mentioned directly, which is why I am asking for help.

Anyone here running these sizes that can share their experience?

You need to know the offset of the wheels. Impossible to answer the questions without that info. Are they OEM or aftermarket - I have the OEM dimensions?

17x9.5 +54 mm

18x10.5 +58 mm

The vendor assured me these would fit fine, but I wanna hear it from The Man himself
