Why is there no such thing as nice affordable wheels

It seems every set of wheels I like are $3,000 at a minimum. Why can't someone make something nice and affordable? Maybe I'm just too picky with what I like (Fikse FM5 being my favorate). I just can't justify that kind of coinage since it's almost half what my car is worth.

I'd put $3,500 wheels on a $30,000+ car and sleep a lot better than putting $2,500 wheels on a 93 Z28 that's paid for. Am I the only that feels this way?

Just take it slow, I settled for Z06 motorsports. I wanted 18" Fikse FM-10's or CCW classics, but I didn't want to drop that much either. I figure I'll use these wheels I have for awhile and get the CCW's or FM-10's later, when my car is more worthy of them.

Yeah, spending 3000+ on a set of wheels is insane.

That's really the only thing the sportcompact aftermarket has going for it. For ever set of wheels out there, there's at least 5 or 6 different company's making a copy of it. Meaning more of the same wheel in different finishes for a cheaper price.

Its like the old saying goes, if it was cheap or easy to do, everyone would have it done.

Well, based on thousands of nice wheels available on the market (just none based on the style I like) I'd think some company by now would have similiar designs with competive pricing. Why are the imports the only ones with affordable options? It doesn't have to be the lightest wheel on the market for me, it just needs to look nice and be strong enough for the street.
