I'm debating doing this to my Camaro. I have a 1994 Z28 that is white and I just picked up a cheap pair of 16" Zr1's. I have the black and white theme going on my car (black- top, mirrors, headlight buckets, front turning signals, berger panel, tint and white- car, side markers, rear fill in letters) and I was what black rims would look like. But I dont want to do it the normal ways......I want to powdercoat them ALL black (no polished lip).
Would anyone happen to have a picture of a white camaro with all black rims? I've searched but all the white Camaro's i find have a polished lip....
Yeah, I know, old thread, but then people bitch about making new threads on old subjects....
Anyways, I currently have the 17" SS 10 spoke wheels painted black (including lip) on my white '93, and I get compliments all the time on how great/mean/badass it looks, from both car people and non alike. At first I didn't think I'd like it, thinking it would look really goofy on a white car, but it ended up growing on me. It's a neat effect with the black roof, enough so that when I pick up a set of 15" wheels for slicks/skinnies later I'm going all black on those too. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow when it's light out.
I hate to bump a really old thread but here you go. Too little too late ? I'm sorry I wasn't destined to get my Camaro for a few more years.. My wheels are 17s and I didn't go for no polished lips either. But I got the black and white theme nonetheless. I think my car looks badass !
