Unhappy Where Not to Get Your Wheels Chromed

Hello all, it has been a long time since I've posted, but I wanted to let everyone know about a bad experience I had so none of y'all have the same thing happen. About three or so years ago, I took my car somewhere to get a tire patched, and they dinged up my '94 Firehawk rims pretty well. They refused to make it right, so about a year ago I decided to get my rims chromed to fix all the damage that had been done before.

Going off what was on these forums, I chose PCA Industries. They apparently went out of business and sent my rims to Artistic Plating in Anaheim, California. It took me four months just to get my rims back. Unfortunately, they came back minus the center caps and rings. Somewhere along the line they decided to lose both. Those caps are hard to find. At first they said they never received the rings or caps, then they sent back the rings but not the caps. In addition, they said the chrome never "stuck" right to the rims, so they wound up polishing the rims and charging me for a polish job.

Anyway, after all that, they're refusing to make it right and have tried to tell me little lies to get me to go away. I am a third-year law student and am about to graduate, and I work at a law firm this summer. Needless to say, I'll be filing suit.

My point is this: don't do business with them. Please tell your friends and other people who are into their cars like us. I want Artistic Plating to pay for what they did, both by a judgement and by lost business. They don't deserve anyone's business.

One last thing: does anyone know where I can get some Firehawk center caps (the screw-in ones from '93-'94)? I got outbid on eBay for the only pair I've seen around. The old SLP guys have been selling all their old stuff, and one of them said it was the last pair he had. It makes me sad to lose my original parts.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, it must have been a tough time waiting for them then getting them all screwed up. I've had plenty of experience with people who destroy more than they fix... Can't immagine how they can continue to do the same to so many people and still get customers...
