whats the best/cheapest way to ship rims/tires?

im sending 2 rims with tires mounted, and 2 rims without tires, whats the best and cheapest way to package and ship?
any help is appreciated

Rims are normally shipped in boxes. Rims and tires (mounted) are usually strapped together (two). And shipped plain (unboxed). UPS ground or local ground freight.

FedEx ground - I sold rims and tires on Ebay and paid $22 each (FL to AZ)

how did you protect the rims? did you box them or just keep them on the tires and send them in pairs? if so what did you use to make sure the rim wouldnt get dingeD?

unmounted wheels, box them up

wheel/tire combo...cut out cardboard circles about the size of the total diameter, tape them over the face and backing of the wheels

yup... that's what I did - it keeps the overall dimension smaller (and cheaper)
