Just curious what the general consensus is on riveted wheels? Do you feel that rivets add or subtract from the aesthetic appeal of a wheel's design?

The first reply says it all. Sometimes it looks good and sometimes it doesn't. It does seem like there are more cars though, that the look just doesn't work.

 

Can you give an example?

 

I haven't seen a rivetted wheel that I like yet.

 

Rivets look like an afterthought on wheels, like they don't belong.

 

I think wheels with rivets look better on trucks then I do cars, but that's not always my opinion (depending on the wheel style and what vehicle it's going on).

Kinesis sales very nice wheels with rivets (3 pieces). Then you have Fikse that doesn't show the rivets but look very nice. Then you have ZO6 wheels with rivets that look (Don't mean to bash)

It just depends on the wheel and the car it's on.

Truthfully I'm more of a no rivet type of guy but these look so sweet.

Interesting responses so far. I wonder if the "rivets don't belong on ANY wheel" option currently having the winning vote is just an F-body thing? Because for as flooded as the wheel aftermarket is with riveted wheels, somebody must be liking them.
