Re: what do u run on the streets

Well i have Kumho esta supra's 712's 255/50/16 all the way around.

I love these tires. Also a few other people i know also have them and really like them.

For me they catch real well and hardly spin at all.. Same thing goes for my friend with a l98 vette. My other friend that went from some expensive *** tires to these said they catch way better to.

I just got them because they were the cheapest tire i could get for the price that was Z rated.

They are pretty good in the rain to. Every now and then they will lose traction but that could just be because of the cold, normally once there warmed up its not a problem.

Re: what do u run on the streets

I have rounded out GSC's up front paired with some Pepboy futura's out back both nearly gone and perfect for sleding in a white wonderland

No really when I bought the car it had nearly new GSC's and they were nice when the car was stock. Very cool looking directional tread and I pulled a 2.1 60' on them stock. But after a little bit of modding they disappeared since they spun anywhere in first and some in second. I was lucky enough to squeeze nearly 30k out of them. I am tempted to go with Kumho's but I have always been a Goodyear kind of guy, guess its the proximity to Akron.

I am going to try to run some Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's if I can round up the funds. I know they have great dry traction and are known for superior wet traction as well. Yes they are expensive, but so were the other mods I decided to go with. Many times a day I demand more from my car than most and I dont need the weak link to be tires, I need it to be connecting rods Stroker here I come. Good luck man.

275/40 Sumitumo HTR+

Decent traction, good in rain, under $400 per set of four and noticeably better then the Kumhos.

I only wish I could try both cheaper Kumho and Sumitumo and higher priced Goodyears and see the difference before I buy. Live and learn.

Never liked my stock GSC's (if thats what your referring to) on my 97.....They wore like real garbage....wonder if that was also caused my cornering to fast and hard

Re: what do u run on the streets

I had some Yokahama's and got 40,000 out of them...now I just got a new set of Kumho 711's, so we'll see how they do. Seem to be a great tire for the $$$.
