Type of wheel balancing

I just bought a set of tt2 wheels 17x9 17x11 and the tire shop will balance the tires with a method called static balance were they put the weights to balance the rims only on the inside lip.I do not like to see the stick weights through the spokes but do not want to wreck the new tires either so what are your opinions of this balancing method ?

static clip weight. one clip weight on the inside lip only...not the best balance, but for what you want, works
