tires w/ 4.10's

I just got some 4.10 gears and I am wondering what kind of tires to use with them. The tires will be going on 17'' c5 wheels. I want to get enough traction but not have it too sticky to snap my 10 bolt. This is my everyday driver... any suggestions?

If it's a daily driver then something like a Yokohama AVS ES100 works good for me.

I have the Cooper 2XS Zeons 275/40/17 on mine and they dont spin when you ease the clutch out and floor it. If you dump the clutch at 3K they spin and bark and hook up quick.
Of course the above statement dont apply when its 30 degrees outside with salty roads.
Killer strreet tire for only $125 each.
This is the tire I will buy from now on for my Z28, plus they ride silky smooth and are quiet. They have no shakes and wear well.

Re: tires w/ 4.10's

thanks for the info guys... ive found good deals with these 2 tires, 245 45 17 Falken FK 451 and Hankook 275/40/17 Ventus H405. Does anyone know how those are for tires and how they will connect with 4.10's?

these are what are on my car http://www.stopandgotires.com/model....=Avenger%20ZHP

275/40/17's and they will still roast the tires every now and then, in the cold weather those tires suck IMO. Thats why im looking into BFgoodrich's lines of tires because they get decent reviews at the track and street

I have heard the falkens dont hook.
Just make sure you get a good hooking tire or you will hate your car.

Goodyear eagle F1 GS D3, as long as your not driving in the snow there is no other tire for a daily driver in my opinion.

I would stop the worry. Do like I do with my 4.10 ratio and Smoke Tires Every Day.

i run them - i really like have decent tread wear and was pretty impressed with traction for daily driving and really impressed with how they held up in rain...

however now im upgrading to running the 555r's because ive added 80 hp to the wheels

I paid $125 each at a big local retailer in Lexington, KY Feb. 2005.
I hope they stay that price
