Tire Question
why would you want to go wider? If you need more traction, get drag tire.. if its for daily driving, then you need some larger wheels..
I just got some 17" wheels and personally, as much as everyone likes them, I have isssues with the sheer weight of them.. I have lost MPG and can feel their weight.. We are only talking about 1" increase in width per tire.. but he weight it soo bad.
I loved the 245s.. you should try out the Yokohama AVS ES100s.. If you can spin those easily, then you will be needing something wider...

I just got some 17x9 98-99 SS wheels....
According to my research...I can go 245/45R17 or 275/40R17. I looked all over Greensboro and High Point today and couldn't find anyone who stocked the 275 width. I didn't know I could go with the 245 at the time....but if the prices of the 275's don't improve(looking at $900 for tires!!!
)...I'll be going with the 245's.
