I hope this is the right place for this thread...

I am thinking about buying 2 BFGoodrich Comp T/A Drags from SLP. They have a deal that gives you 2 of these tires and two new rims for $429. They are mounted and balanced. My questions:

1) Are these good tires?
2) Is this a good deal?
3) Has anyone bought this package?
4) Is it bad that SLP does not heat cycle these tires before shipping?

Two more questions... I am going to my first drag day. I have never raced on a drag strip. What times can I expect with my mods? How much would these tires help? I have no traction now on the black ice...
