Yokohama AVS ES100 245/50/16

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 245/50/16 or 255/50/16

I cant decide between these two tires.....please give me some input

 

Neither.
I keep reading how the Yoko wear quick and I have the 712's and they are mediocre at best.
Look at Fuzion, Sumitomo, Hankook or something else if you want cheap.

 

im not too worried about wear... but i am concerned with wet and dry traction. These are summer only tires.

I have heard the fuzions are bad news......anyone else?

i need some more opinions before i decide to buy.

 

Dry traction on the Kumho is marginal. Like the stock F1's. I can spin them pretty easily. Wet traction is better than the F1's.
What I really don't like about them is the fact that they are quite out of round. It takes a lot of weight to balance them and they tend to track in grooves.
I've read a lot of good tings about the Kumho MX and know that many autoX guys areound here run them. I've also read good things about the Nitto 555.

 

the problem is that i need to find a tire that is stock size......245/50/16 or 255/50/16

any suggestions?

255/40/17 front
275/35/18 rear
