tire advice

im setting up my 95 z for hi performance street, road race, auto cross and drag. i have eibach .8 lowered springs, hd sway bars koni shocks. thinking of buying nitto nt555rii or nt 555r in a 305/35/18. anyone have any experience with these tires. i need a tire that can handle app 425 rw hp but have sidewall stability for cornering - so the regular drag radials are out. this is a street driven car so iwould like some tire mileage also -- any comments /suggestions--tanks

Re: tire advice

Heard some good things about Nitto tires. Hard to find street/autocross tires in my size and without going to full autocross tires, so I'm looking at the NT01s.

The NT555s have fairly hard rubber compound with a UTQG of 300, Traction A, Temp A. Not good for autocross.

The NT01s have a softer compound for better grip with a UTQG of 100, Traction AA, Temp. A. Good for road race and autocross.

The NT05s have a UTQG of 200 which is a good compromise for street and track. But I don't think the NT05s come in 305/35/18.
