thinking about buying iForged rims.....enter here
do yourself a favor and look elsewhere......
Well, I ordered a set of chrome iForged Aero's directly from Vince Wong back on March 10th and was told 4-6 weeks. Finally received them around 2 months later. I called a couple times leaving very pleasant voice mails to Vince asking about the status and asking him to return my calls. He never returned any calls. I expected a long wait, so that wasn't a big deal to me. I just wish he would have returned my calls.
I went to get the tires mounted and balanced and discovered that one rim had a radial runout of 0.10"!! I then noticed that one of the other rims had a very poor chrome job on the lip. At this point I was disappointed, as for what these rims cost there should not have these kind of problems. I called up Vince and he issued me a call tag to get them sent back. I sent them back to him the next day. He stated that they would fix the bad rim and probably install a new chrome lip on the other one and then send them back 2nd Day Air......this was three weeks ago. I have since sent out a few emails and left a few voicemails spanning 2 weeks asking about the status of them and asking him to please return my call. I have not had a return email or phone call yet and have no idea what the status of my rims are.
All I want are a set of good quality rims...is that too much to ask for after spending $3,200!??!
I am not the only one having problems with them either, here are some links:

I wish I would have saw these threads before I ordered my rims. I have also heard that they got kicked off one of the Vette forums due to similar circumstances.

well, I finally got them back....
they did replace the chrome lip on the one rim and it looks good.....but now this one has 0.07" of radial runout (when it was good BEFORE I sent it to them to get the lip replaced)!!!!! The one that had 0.10" of radial runout is now better but the Hunter GSP9700 still considers it as "marginal"
I really would like to know what their "spec" is for these things.....
I know of a couple other people that have had issues with the quality of their rims as well.

Wow, when I used to be in machining, we would call guys that couldn't hold .001" on the mill = carpenters. We would have called .010" = needs to find another line of work. And they sell this for $3,200!?!
Might be a situation where they used to make a top quality product, but once they got a "name" and realized this allowed them to sell as much as they could put out the door for top $$$, quality took a back seat to sales, along with customer service. I've seen it happen with body/paint shops, engine builders, etc.

didn't feel like dealing with it again. Plus I seriously doubt they would have taken them back seeing they told me before they shipped out that they were within their "spec". I really would like to know what their "spec" is. If it wasn't for a member (who happens to deal with them) of LS1tech.com (who iForged sponsors) contacting iForged for me I may be still waiting for them....lol Five min after he contacted them for me (after I posted this same thread over there) they finally returned my call and the rims were shipped out that day.

Wow...I would have myself. I mean...if I were to drop that kind of cash on a set of wheels and I wasn't happy to the point of where I am still posting about it months later, I would have DEFINITELY did everything I could to get it taken care of. That's just me.
Yeah, that may be true but I think I would still fought for it. Any respectable company would have at least heard you out and set you at ease about it. Did you also post this on LS1tech? What happened there?

I guess I just want to keep getting the word out about my experience, that's why I will bump it up once in a awhile.
That's the thing, did you read those other threads I posted on those Euro car sites? They aren't a respectable company in my opinion and in many others as well. From what I gather, the owner (Vincent Wong) is a young kid who just likes to reap the benefits w/o taking care of customer service and making sure of the quality before his product ships. The wheels seem to ride fine and I had them road force balanced and match mounted, so that probably helped. I only have one wheel/tire combo in the 35lb area and the rest are lower than that...two of them are actually in the single digit area....so that's very good.
I posted this same thread on LS1tech AND LS2.com. They removed it from LS1tech (probably because they are a sponsor) but it's still there on LS2.com. In fact I just bumped it up the same time I bumped this one up here.
