My 1996 Z28 LT1 have oversized tires they stick out about 3 inches from the fenders. Does anyone know what the stock size tire would be for my car?

 

If the tires are sticking out 3" past the edges of the fender, the problem is most likely the wrong wheels, not the wrong tire. The stock wheels (16 x 8.0" 55mm offset) place the tire at least 1" inside the fender, so for an oversize tire to stick 3" outside the fender with a stock wheel is impossible. Sounds like someone put the wrong wheels on it, probably with "0" offest, rather than the required 55mm (2.2") offset.

Stock tire on a 96 Z28 was either 235/55-16 (base V8) or 245/50-16 (RPO QLC - Z-rated tires supplied with performance rear axle ratio).
