Seemingly Uncleanable Grease...

I've got grease on my stock wheels that just doesn't want to come off. I tried Orange Blast, Orange Clean, Hot Rimz, a water pressure tire cleaner, and lots of scrubing. I know that probably isn't much, but what do you guys use or suggest I use? WD-40? Rubbing Alcohol? Or maybe it's just too old to clean?

-Pictures of wheels will appear shortly-

It's more than likely tar. I'd put some bug and tar remover on it let it soak for a little and it should wipe away.

Grease? Have you checked your CV boots? One might be split. CV grease gets everywhere and needs strong detergent to remove. Can stain wheels that have lost their shine/colouring.

K thanks guys. Yea, might be tar. They've definitely lost their shine, but I want them to look the best they can. I just bought a metal brush for scrubbing wheels and it kinda worked, but seemed like it scratched some areas, but some of the scratches wiped away and some might come out with some wax.

DON'T USE A WIRE BRUSH!!!!!!!

You'll have made them a lot worse than just a bit dirty now. Time for refurbishment I think!!

I'm guessing you guys get 'Solvol Autosol' over there. It's like a mild cutting paste for metalwork. I strongly suggest you use that before wire brushing your wheels in future.

If it is tar, use Tarminator on it.
