I never ran drag radials or any type of slick mostly street tires. I'm pushing around 310-320 rwhp right now. I was just wondering if I ran the new mickey thompson drag radial on my 245/40/17 zo6 rims. How much of a difference will it make. Will I notice a huge huge difference in the launch?

 

Absolutely. In addition, what suspension mods do you have? That will also make a difference.

I'm only running drag radials when I get my 12 bolt in. I might plan to put maybee a 4:30 or 4:56 gear instead of the 4:10. I will be running a supercharger but that might not be till later or next summer. I might have fun with a higher gear in the mean time. It must a huge difference launching the car at 6k with drag radials. How much air do you run in those mickey thompsons drag raidails for street driving?

 

You're going to run 4.30's or 4.56 gears with a blower?? are you planning on running the 1/4 with that setup?

 

I'm not building my car for the track. I only want something to play around with on the streets. Do you think I should maybee run a 373 or 410 with a supercharger. I'm not getting a supercharger maybee till late or next summer. So in the mean time I'm looking for a 430 or 456 to have fun with
