Repainted My Wheels At Home - Pics
Well my wheels were looking like crap, the previous owner curbed them pretty bad in alot of spots and the paint was peeling and there were some small stains in spots. Since I had the intake manifold off the car it wasn't going anywhere so I decided that I would do something about the wheels. The original plan was to polish them but after beginning to strip them the process would have taken far to long. So I decided to repaint them.
I found an old post on here about the materials to use, so I went to the store and got the paint, primer and clear coat that I would need. The painting process takes about 2 days, I let the primer dry overnight to be sure it was alright to paint. I just finished them up last night so I don't have any pics of them mounted yet but I will hopefully by next week sometime. The total cost of the project was about $50 including the stripping discs and paint, and it took a week (stripped off more then I needed to) to strip them down. The curb rash is still on the wheels since I didn't try to sand it off since it would have taken far to long again, but it is hidden alot better now then it was before.
Now here is a link to alot of before shots of each wheel and only 2 after shots (the other 2 wheels are in the garage so I didn't get them for the pics) I will also post up pics of a primed wheel and some of how they looked with the paint stripper on etc. This is a cheap and pretty easy way to make your wheels look better rather then buying a new set. Ya they came out pretty decent. I wish I used mor coats of paint though. I only used 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear, more would have made it hold up alot longer, I can tell already they will start to flake around the edges in a few months.

Yup thats the post. Thats for the comments. If anyone is gonna do it make sure you prep the wheels extremely well or they won't come out so good. Use at least 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear too.
