PSI question

I have a 95 Camaro Z28 with stock rims...tire size 245-50-16..and was wondering what tire PSI everybody is running for normal street driving. I normally run 30 PSI cold all around because thats what the sticker on the door says...but it seems they are starting to wear more on the outside then the middle. Should i bump up to 32 cold PSI?

32/35 PSI is a good air pressure for the city/highway driving.

Yeah, I normally keep mine at ~32 psi. If I'm going to the track, then ~35/36 psi . Seems to work good, and the tire wear has appeared to be even across the tire.

Thats strange how you would use more air when going to the track....one would normally think use less

Misconceptions about "less air = more grip" . Radial tires don't work like old bias-ply or slicks ... often times you need MORE air in them to make them hook . Also, for road racing, you need more air.

Thats very good info to know Im assuming the extra pressure helps keep the bottom of the tire flat on the ground giving you the most contact area?
