Taking a poll on everyone's opinion on whether they like black rims on 4th Gen F-bodies or not.

If you could pick from the majority of the cars you see with the black rims, would you say that most are good looking? Or that most are bad looking?

 

I like my black wheels a lot better than my chrome ones.

 

This is like asking if people prefer Coke or Pepsi.

I agree, it depends on the car and wheel choice and what look the owner is going for. IMO, it would be boring if everyone had chrome.

One thing I don't like is the ALL black look. IMO it needs a silver lip to break up the monotone.

 

They look great but they need the polished lip and center cap

 

What kind of rims are those?

Coke and Pepsi I don't believe would be a similar poll. It would be more like comparing Pepsi to 7up. Maybe if I asked which you liked better between an all black rim, and a black rim with a polished lip and a non black center cap.

Think of all the possible other wheel options. There are several more than just black and chrome. Polished, silver, anodized blue, gunmetal grey, and white are just a few more examples.

The rims above on the SS are custom wheels made by (and on his car in the pic above I believe) Mr. Jason Debler.

Again, if you only like the wheels on a few select combinations of cars, but for the most part when you see black rims on F-bodies you don't like the way they look, then vote "No I don't like them". If you consider the majority of black wheels on F-bodies to be good looking then vote accordingly. If I made a 3rd option on the poll to say "it depends on the type of car" then I would have most everyone in that category I suspect. This is supposed to be a poll on your opinion of the MAJORITY of black wheels on F-bodies. Not how you feel about one or two cars, and not the rest.

 

I do like them in general on F-Bods, as well cars in general. A plus is they are a lot easier to maintain than any other wheel type, chrome, poliched, etc.

 

The question askes for an opinion on whether you like black wheels on an f-body or not. Whether you ask if someone prefers coke or pepsi or pepsi or 7-up it also calls for an opinion. You either like them or you don't. Its that simple. See the similarity?

All that doesn't matter though. If you're wanting to put them on your car all that matters is do YOU like them?

 

Not looking to put them on my car. Just looking for opinions from people if in general they like them or not.

 

Here's what I think looks the best for each color car :

Car - Wheel
Black - Black with chrome lip.
Red - Chrome.
Silver - Black or Chrome or Polished. All look good.
Green - Polished.
Orange - Black.
Blue - Chrome.

Just my opinions.

 

yea i was either gonna go chrome or black with chrome lip...it was a coin toss...i decieded chrome.....
