Painting inside of rims?
I just bought some ZR1s and my brother(does autobody work) suggested painting the inside of the rims. They are silver painted rims. (http://mikesdakota.com/z28/wheels/) Basicaly paint them black for looks and it would make it easier to clean the inside. I mean who really can keep the inside of their rim clean? With the kind of brake dust I build up I cant. Has anyone done this before?

I personally don't think powder coating just the inside black would look good in my opinion.
If you are just worried about keeping the rims clean just wipe the inside of the rim down with a soapy rag every time you wash your car. Its kinda hard to get every spot because its a tight fit for your hand in there but its possible. I do it to my Z06 rims every time I wash and the inside looks pretty much brand new.

Be careful when you do that. Wheels have to go through a baked on paint process (especially on the inside rim). Just applying paint will not be enough, and in time the paint will chip and ruin like there's no tomorrow. Check with some auto paint places, or preferably, with wheel restorers. Good luck.
