Looks good. Way better than stock. How did you go about painting them? What did you do to clean them?

Thank you,

Well what I did first was went and bought some black wheel paint and clear coat.

Then, i removed 2 wheels at a time, cleaned them like i normally clean my wheels, then cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. After they dried, i taped off the chrome that i didn't want painted. I then layed on a few coats of black for each wheel, let it dry for a while between each coat. Then applied a few coats of clear coat. Let that dry for a few hours, then untape the chrome and tires and you are good to go.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, it was a shot in the dark project for me

Re: Painted my Salad Shooters (pics)

I've been thinking about doing that to one of the 2 sets of salad shooters that I have, but couldn't really visualize them on my red 94... Thanks for giving me the visual...

How many cans of wheel paint did you use? What brand?

Looks real good - by leaving the lip polished, they almost look like black zr1's at first glance

How much would you say you spent total on this project? It may just convince me to do the same thing instead of buying the ZR1's.

Re: Painted my Salad Shooters (pics)

what you can do to take care of little black spots left on the lip is just take some real fine sand paper aka 1200-1500 grit and wet sand that **** off. Thats perfect not to effect finish on the lip.
