and i want to get some drag radials for the back...my rims are the actual gm zr1s and there 16's i believe...the tires on them now are 245-50-r16.... nitto makes the 245 but thats the only size they make in a 16... will that hook with the mods in my sig? and are 245's big enough for just street racing? also is there anything better than the nittos or are nittos best bang for buck? any advice is appreciated...also personnal expierences

BTW./... car will never see a track its only a street ride

Real ZR1's from a Corvette are all 17" diameter - 17x9.5" front, 17x11" rear. They don't fit well on a 4th Gen, so people buy the 96 Corvette Grand Sport wheels, which are the same appearance/size (except for the black paint), with larger offsets to tuck the wheels under the fender. I'd guess that 90% of the "ZR1" wheels on 4th Gens are in fact replicas, not OEM.

There was never a 16" wheel on a ZR1 Corvette, or Grand Sport. The Camaro SS wheels used on the 96/97 SS convertibles only were identical in appearance to the ZR1's and had 245/50-16 tires, but they were only 16x8". Even the SS coupes got 17x9" wheels with 275/40-17 tires.

Set-up your suspension and those 245's should be fine- but keep in mind the 'streets' are never the same and aren't even close to being predicable. Long periods of time between rains and the roads start to get a little slippery- which is why you see 'oil slicks' in the pools of water next to the road on a heavy rain.

If you are really worried about it get some 315's in the back and be done...

well i guess those are what i have then there aluminum colored ... and they have a gm stamping on them so i know there oem wheels......but anyways so is nitto a good street drag radial? i probably wont be driving in the rain too much so im not worried about that...also what is the largest size i can put on these rims? in a 16x8 nitto only makes the 245.. is nitto a good radial? i would like to go like 265ish but i dont know any good tire brands
