OK to run EMTs w/o sensors?

Along w/ the C5 wheels I just bought (another post) I also got 2-275/40/18 and 2-245/45/17 Goodyear F1 GS EMT tires. The wheels have the sensors but I have not idea what would be needed to make the system work in my car if it's even possible...is it? Would it be "safe" to use these tires w/o functional sensors?
Thanks

I had them and didnt use the sensors. I just made sure that i checked tire pressure every now and then.
