O.E. Wheels experience?

Anybody get wheels through OE Wheels in FL? Im having issues...

I ordered a set of gunmetal ZR1 17x9.5's & 17x11's last Friday (16th) and they were supposed to have been shipped out same day and paid w/ my credit card. I was told at the time of purchase all the rims were in stock and they'd be shipped out promptly. I called the number on the website to order directly and make sure the order didnt get messed up. Whats interesting is that I called the day before asking about the backspacing & availability and I was told they were all in stock.
I called again on Monday (19th) to confirm the order was successfully processed and I was told they were sent out already. I requested a tracking number, but I was by the rep that they don't give out tracking numbers, but I was assured I would receive the wheels in about 5 business days. So of course I get the tires ready at home & am thinking we're good to go. Well, I get a call this morning-Tues (20th) by Sean in sales that the 17x11" rims are on backorder and I can expect to see them in approximately 5 weeks! I asked how could that be as I had several conversations over the last few days with several people and now you all of a sudden out of stock? The answer I was given was that they sell alot of wheels and they lost track.
I told them to look at thier Ebay site as it shows they have 100 available and how do you explain that. The answer I got was that was a different part of thier company and they can't control that. I was offered black or shiny versions of the same size, but thats not what I want. I demanded some sort of getting taken care of as this pushes back other things now--so he offered me $20 off the purchase & wait in line; black or polished ZR1's; or just cancel the order all together. So far not happy w/ thier service and am going to call back tomorrow to force a tracking # out of them as I told him to make sure the 2 rims they have get sent to me asap.

I sent an email stating my situation to the contact on that ebay page- awaiting response still.
Hopefully this is an isolated thing Im seeing with these people, but so far Im far from impressed with them.

Can you let us know how this turns out???

I don't like the sounds of that though, especially since I just ordered a set of rims from them as well....

Luckily I ordered 18 x 9.5 Z06s so hopefully they have those in stock

Update....

I called them this morning (Tuesday) and they gave me $20 off of them for the trouble so far and I demanded they send out the 2 17x9.5's today. I asked for thier tracking # but couldn't get it.

Here's what i was told about thier tracking number proceedure....
Per thier policy they dont release tracking numbers they say because whats happened in the past is that a legit order would be placed but somebody else would call posing as the origional buyer- or buyer looking to scam them & change the shiping address subsequently- thus snaking the rims out of the origional buyers hands (or so it seemed) and voiding thus the shiping gaurantee because theres no proof of who actually called to change the ship-to location. I have to call their head accounting dept tomorrow and beat the tracking numbers out of them by matching my card # with the one they have from the purchase last Fri.
I can see where there coming from with this policy, but its very inconveincing for me to chase this info down.

But the ebay site still hasn't changed it's (100 available) status. I asked them about this error and how I told them its false advertisment & misleading and they NEED to make that accurate. I was told that was another dept.

Funny i called them twice randomly during the day from my work cell today just to have them check inventory on the Gunmetal ZR1 17x11's and both times I was told right away, "sure we have them in stock." I would then ask for eta for shipment and they'd respond "within 5 business days". BUT I told the sales rep to "just dont tell me that because thats what I want to hear- go and make 100% sure". I'd be put on hold both times for a few minutes and then they'd come back & say "oh yeah.... it looks like they're on backorder." So again I was told it'd be a few weeks, but no eta.

Im going to call back every day I guess since they say they won't call me to keep me updated because of the 'extreme amount of volume they deal with."
Im sorry, where did customer service go? Yes I think they're a heck of a deal & honestly for that price I migth be able to live with an imperfection on them, but thats no excuse to give the runaround.
If I could buy these somewhere else tomorrow I would, but I want this specific rim & size on my car... but cant find them elsewhere.
Seriously, anybody else selling these?

Thursday's update.....

I call them this morning to get the tracking # of the 2 17x9.5 rims that were supposed to have been sent out already... and I find out that they're STILL sitting on the shelf! After a few min of me bitching them out I demad that they start actually doing something with the goods I paid for -
like "sending them to me right the *** now". So, I get transfered to the wharehouse and am lall of a sudden given a tracking # for both pairs of wheels. I already checked UPS's site & the 1st pair are showing up already, but not as picked up. That should change later tonight once the system updates.
Now the 11"-ers I find are not even in the country! and with up to an 8 week back order! Im waiting on a call back from someone who runs that f'n zoo down there too see what the deal is.

I never had any problems with them, but my wheels were in stock when i ordered them. It sounds like they have terrible organization skills but i wouldn’t worry about not getting your wheels. When they receive them from the manufacturer they will ship them, calling them twice a day wont help.

I wonder what the deal is because I have been chasing them around for a week now- maybe Im just that 1% of the customer base thats seeing probs? Anyways, I found a good local powdercoater so Im going to have them send me polished 17x11's and just have them refinished/powdercoated gunmetal up here. Im not going to wait at an 'estimated' 8 weeks- if they even come in at all. The 2 17x9.5s in gunmetal should be arriving next week as they are already on the way as of this afternoon.

I ordered the wheels on my Z-28 from then through eBay and had no problems. They got to me by the end of the week, in fact. But I live ~400 miles from them so it shouldn't have taken long regardless. Anyway, hope everything gets worked out for you.

I used them too to order my 9.5" gunmetal zr1's all the way around and had no problem getting them. The only problem I did have was that 3 of the 4 center caps were totally destroyed, but I dont think that is their fault, it was UPS's problem with not taking care of the boxes good enough.

It seems like good customer service is a hit or miss with places these days. Hope it all works out for ya.
