Has anybody tried the Nitto NT-01 yet? Nitto tech told me today that it is the latest thing, even better then the 555R & R2. They told me that it has the same wet traction, improved dry traction and increased tread life over the R2s. The tread on this new tire is unusual to say the least, but I'm more concerned about performance. I figured maybe someone here has tried them already and can give me a non-manufacturer opinion regarding the performance.

 

They are actually tested in the new Super Chevy magazine. They do some performance upgrades on a 1st gen Camaro then at the end they throw on some NT-01's and they give them like .10 G's on the skidpad. Pretty nice
