Need Wheel Comments/Pictures of your 93-97 Z/28
I am trying to decide between 10 spoke or 5 spoke SS wheels for my 1994 Z/28 that is Bright Red. I am also trying to decide whether to spend the extra for chrome, although the aluminum look on red isnt bad at all. Ebay grey Z06's are also in my budget range.
The 10 spoke/ZO6 are more rare in my area so I am leaning towards those, but I am not sure if I need chrome, an extra reason to get my car stolen.
Any pics with 10/5 spoke or Grey ZO6 17" wheels on a Bright Red Z/28 would be great, thanks.
I'll also take video's!

I'm not a huge fan of the ZR1's either, again like you said they have been played out, but its still a choice. The 10 spoke is a low cost alternative that is a GM wheel. I like the look, subtle, doesnt scream look at me, but a huge improvement over salad shooters. I am not a fan of Y2K's though.
However I do like the ZO6 wheels, I have seen grey sets on ebay for $400 and a bit more for polished and chrome. I heard polished is a bit harder to keep clean than chrome though. But that polished looks better on red cars.
I thought staying OEM would be best, since I heard they are better quality and weight less. But like I said ebay Z06's in the satin can be had for about $400. I am partial to the satin look.
I think Satin Z06's are growing on me, now its just whether to do 17x9.5 or 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 in the rear.

Just a suggestion. Thats one of the main reason's i ditched my Y2K's.

I like the ZR-1 wheels, but am just so tired of seeing them. I have the silver painted variety on my car right now. Im planning on painting these black and getting some Vette wheels though I just don't know what style. I like the grey ZO6 wheels too.
And is it just me or do the rear wheels (17" ZR-1s) look small on the back of the car?
Get the ZO6's

So far the 17x9.5 Z06's are on top, I am taking a liking to them too, the only car I have ever seen them on is this the ZL1 from GMMG. But if anyone finds some other pics, please post them here.

What do you guys think about Satin compared to Polished compared to Chrome? What are the benefits of each?
Ebay prices: 17/18 17 only
Satin: $400 $360
Polished: $460 $430
Chrome: $625 $570
Are there any other down falls to mismatching 17's up front and 18's in the rear? I kind of like having the extra meat out back, but I know its going to cost me.
Any one think its worth the extra money from OEM GM wheels?

The bad part about 17's in the front 18's in the rear is you can't rotate the tires, and you will probably have to run spacers or hammer in the wheel wells if you go with 18x10.5's. Also 18's have less sidewall flex then 17's so they won't hook as well, at least thats what i've been told. I'm a big fan of chrome rims because polished needs so much more attention to keep them looking good unless you get them clear coated.
Re: Need Wheel Comments/Pictures of your 93-97 Z/28
Well sounds like 17x9.5 will be best, I just wish I could see some pics of them on a car similar to mine.
Now, what rubber to wrap them in...and dont say DR cause I cant.
