Need some tires!

I've had the tires on there since December 06 so theyre gettin old.

I've got Nexen 3000 265/35 18's on there right now on 18x10.5 Z06 rims.

I was curious what tires you guys would recommend and if there were any pretty good ones I could get for around $110 a piece?
Thanks for the help.

any tire in that size for that price is going to be junk. The 265mm width isnt larger enough to properly cover a 10.5 inch rim. I would get a 295/35/18.
Any tire in that size will be 250-350 each, unless its complete crap.

Tires will help braking, acceleration, cornering. Going cheap on them is a waste. It will also be wasting what you already have done to your car.

Why buy headers and a cam to go faster when you are just going to spin the tires? Do you understand what i mean?
To really get the most performance out of your car you need the contact between the car and the road to be gripy, stable, solid.

265's is what the guy wanted to put on there last time i got tires so i told him to go ahead.

I think they were about 125/each plus tax.

They dont look too bad, they seem like the could be a little wider...They are basically flush with the lip of the rim.

Here it is what do you think?

265 is a pretty narrow section width for a 10.5" wheel. I'd put more like a 295 on something that wide. It's not going to be cheap, though.

I know I've never heard of them, and that I would therefore never put them on my car.

I have 10.5 in the rear with 295's. The fit perfect, no bulge. I really dont know how you could have 265's that sit flush? There isnt enough tire to properly cover the rim.

Get over the fact that some good tires will cost you 700-900. just bite the bullet, as i said before, they will improve 1/4 mile times, handling, braking, ride quality. A good set of tires will improve everything, and a **** poor set will bring down everything.

The decision is up to you.
