Need some feedback on tires
Need some feedback on tires
I'm looking for a size around 275/40/17. Please shoot me feedback if any of you have these tires listed below. I'm looking for a tire that can last awhile so tread wear is a concern and also looking to hookup without burning out. I do alot of conering. Anyhow, shoot me some feedback of the three... thanks.
Yokohama AVS ES100, AVS Sport
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 Tires
BFGoodrich g-Force T/AŽ KDW NT

Re: Need some feedback on tires
I had the Yokos and they are really nice tires.Of the three you have listed I would go with the Goodrich tires.
A friend of mine has them on his lowered truck. The traction they have is outstanding, plus they really look cool too.

Re: Need some feedback on tires
I have the GS-D3's in the back of my car and they have held up pretty good for the ~10K miles they have been there. I have no complaints whatsoever.
The reason, however, why I have them there is that they came with a set of rims I bought. I don't think I would've bought them myself. IMO, not worth the amount of money they cost.

Re: Need some feedback on tires
hmm, I guess I'm ganna do the Yoko Es100's since I can afford them right now. I'm pretty interested in the F1's but thats a lil high in my price range so I guess I'll get them next time or something. It seems like the Es100's dont have much thread depth tho. I liked the F1's when I saw them cuz it looked liked the tread depth was deep and the tread pattern was pretty appealing in design, looks like they would hook pretty good.
Anyhow...back to the es100's...for those of you who have them, how's your wear holding up, what kinda driving do you do and how many miles have you had them? I'm mostly concerned about how the wear is on the sidewalls or whatever you call it. I heard that these Yoko's have good sidewall support for cornering, what do you think. Thanks

Re: Need some feedback on tires
The ES100's are a great tire, they wear really well for a high performance tire and stay sticky their whole lives instead of hardening like many others do.
