need 19" tire help

last setup on my old car was 245/40/18 on an 8" and 285/35/18 on a 10" rear using toyo proxie t1-s.

a new setup i'm working on i kept the same width of wheels but upgraded one size to 19's and i can't seem to find a tire that will work. i want something that is y rated and has a nice look to them as well as functional. i was interested in the bfg kdw nt's. they offer the front i need in a 245/35/19 but the closest in their rear is 285/35/19 which will raise the car almost a full inch. that or i can go lower to a 275/35/19 and stretch the tire some but it drops the dia of the tire an inch from what i had before.

michelin ps2 makes a 285/30/19 which would be ideal in size to match somewhat my factory 245/50/16 tires in dia but at $425 a tire and they don't look to nice i'm a little disappointed.

my factory tire was a 245/50/16. when i went to 18x10 in the rear i tried to match this with a 285/35/18 which seemed to work well but a equal size in 19 which would be 285/30/19 seems to be hard to find. maybe all the tire searching has thrown me off so i'm hoping someone could step in and lend a hand to what a proper working size would be so i can make a decision.

dia wise here is the maximum i can fit.
front would be a 245/40/18 and rear would be a 295/35/18, now i just need to find a tire in a 19" to fit this.

thanks in advance.

Re: need 19" tire help

I'd say you just go with a Z rated tire combo, better performance all around, but it would cost you almost $1000 for the four of them.

You can get some 245/35/19 for the fronts and some 275/35/19 for the rear. Pirelli PZero Rosso are good, also you can get Bridgestone Potenza SO-3's for that price, as well as Continentals

Re: need 19" tire help

several people have been recommending the potenza? anyone else comment on these?

i'm pretty much open to anything, the right upsize would be 285/30/19 if i wanted the same as my last setup. i'm not sure which would be better that or the 275/35/19.
