Mt Street Slicks Vs Mt Drag Radials

Just wondering if it's true that the new M/T drag radials hook just as hard as the M/t Street slick. I'm just wondering since I'm looking for a set of rear tires. Any comparisons with the two. Mike

Re: Mt Street Slicks Vs Mt Drag Radials

I've never ran the slicks, but I can tell you that I hook like crazy with the little 255 50 R16 M/T Radials. They ride great on the street and they are my primary tire as I don't drive the car more than 4000 miles a year. I've got a photo of my car at launch I can email you. You can see those little tires wrinklin' up as it goes to 60' in 1.55..and they are very consistent. I made 10-12 passes with the 60's ranging from 1.55-1.57...Its a true sleeper right down to the 16x8s all around and both sway bars in. Its far from optimized for all out drag racing. Bogarts and 275 50 15 M/T Radials may bring my 60's into the 1.40 range..
