Its tire time

I need to replace my tires on my 94z. I am running the salad shooters. Whats a good replacement tire? I am currently running on kumho ecstas or something like that. I heard they are good tires, but mine are just worn out. Also, I need a place to buy them. Thanks

My mechanic is in love with Nitto NeoGens. How much are you looking to spend? I know that I have good customer reviews from tires like the KDWs, 555s, NeoGens, and even some cheaper stuff like Rikens (I love my Rikens, hehe).

I'm looking up tires too... I was almost set on the Nitto 555's. They look awesome, and they seem to handle well and everything.. however I read a few online reviews that the wet traction sucks. That won't fly with me.

Well, I guess it also depends on what you're doing with the car, too. I hear a lot of negative stuff about the 555s in the rain, mostly guys from SVTPerformance saying they suck. I'm a stickler for traction in the wet - had some super bad experiences.

If you look at the Tire Rack, they have reviews for the BFG KDWII that pretty much ALL state they're supreme rain traction tires (big selling point for me). I know after my Goodyear/Riken combination goes, I'll be shelling out for the KDWs.

From: Keller Tx,
KDW NT would be the best tire but they are costly, Sumi HTR Z II are not bad I like mine so far.

Yeah, after reading reviews.. it looks like it's a good idea to pay more for the KDW

I love the Firestone wide ovals. I have about 4k miles and no wear pretty much even all the way. And there great in the RAIN!

Has anyone driven on both the Nitto 555's and the BFG KDW's? I can get the Nittos for $110 and the KDW's for $145 a piece. Wondering if the extra 35$ would be really worth it. I'm leaning towards yes...

I ended up getting some kumho ecstas. They are either AST or ASX. I dont remember at the moment but they seem to be pretty nice. Nice traction too.
