on another forum, there is a thread that says 'BMW wheel fell off!'
the bolt pattern is close, but not the same

I would tend to lean towards the guy who put them on being a tard. If they go over the studs, and tighten down properly, they arent going to fall off. It would have to have something to do with how they were put on rather than the bolt pattern.

Its kinda hard to put a wheel on wrong though, its not a cam swap or any thing.

yes, but the lugs might not have been tightened or something stupid like that. Have you never heard of a wheel falling off?

Got guys running BMW wheels over here for yrs but 3 series. Dont' know about 5 series being the same patter. Never happened....ever w/ the 3's. Freak accident perhaps? Yeah they are a tad off but they will not bend the studs over time due to stress reported by others.

5-series and 3-series have the same bolt pattern and offset.

I've actually noticed that a lot of BMW wheel sellers on e-bay will say that the wheels will work fine on Camaros/firebirds. I think the difference is like 3/4 of an inch less for the BMW bolt pattern.

BTW, imo, the M3 wheels would look better than the m5 wheels. Or even the 745 wheels.
