How much powder coat?
I think I want these wheels:
But I want them done in gold. My car is patriot red metallic.
I have a powder coater in mind who said it's only $175 for a set of 4 as long as they come bare. I inquired and they do not have gold but said if I purchase the gold powder they will do it for me at a discounted rate.
He suggested 5 lbs of powder to cover the wheels. Said a lot of the powder is lost in the application process and 5 lbs would be just enough.
I think I want to use this color:
SUN GOLD POWDER COATING POWDER
Do you all really think I need to buy 5 lbs?
