Was wondering if anyone has tried grinding down the front caliper or anything so that you can run Welds up front without having a spacer... I have the LS1 brake conversion as well so that probably adds a little more size to caliper as far as clearance is concerned. Anyone think that you can safely grind the caliper down enough to do this? Car sees limited street duty, mostly just 1/4 mile duty for this car.

 

If you grind them down a lot and run 1/2 worn pads it is possible,my pads aren't worn down quite enough yet so I am using the 3/16th spacer !!!!!
