Got wheels, need tires, what size?

I bought some Z06 Wheels. 17x8.5 and 18x9.5.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7906057863

What size tires should I look for? Any brands I should look for? I want the fatest tire in the rear and pretty thick up front for cornering. Thanks.

NOTE: Links would help too

You bum!!

I haven't gotten my Z06 rims yet. Heck, I don't even have my calipers yet. Oh well.

I believe OE tires were 265/40/17 and 295/35/18 on the 17x9.5 and 18x10.5. I think I'd go with a 285/35/18 in the back, and a 245/45/17 in the front for looks. Either way.

BTW, thought you were saving up for a bike? Money burning a hole in your pocket?

245/45/17 up front
275/40/18 in back

that is, of cource, you want the same size as the C5's, otherwise, i would go with the 35 on the backs, but i also wouldnt have gotten the 17's up front either

After researching, those are the sizes I'm going for. All except the 255--I might do 275. Either way though, where did you order yours and how much were they?

Chris:
I don't think I'm responsible enough for a mid 10-sec bike. Plus Mom isn't too hot on the idea. Email me sometime, haven't spoken at ya' in a while.

Sweet! I searched but couldn't find their website, mind linking me?

How do 555's compare to the Kuhmo Supra 712's? I can get a full set for $600 shipped off www.TireRack.com

The 555's are going to hook 10 times better than the 712's, but they'll also wear out 10 times faster.

Dang, the 712's were going to be $604 Shipped from www.TireRack.com

Went to the local Tire Kingdom and got them, plus mounting and balancing and it was $607 OTD. Talk about sweet!

I'll let you guys know how they are next week.
