Got a few ?'s about 18" ZO6's.

Well ive got 18x10.5" ZO6 rims for the rear and im still trying to find some tires. They have a 56mm offset. Now i dont want to do any mods to my car to make them fit if i dont have to. Would useing a spacer or a wheel adapter make it so i wouldnt have to do the BFH mod? I will do these mods if i have to but if useing a spacer or wheel adapter will work i would rather do that.

I dont care if they arent as safe, if i wanted safe i wouldnt be driveing an f-body. But if they will work what size should i get? I see they have them on ebay for around $75.

What problems will i run into useing spacers or wheel adapters?

Please help me out if you have been through this before.

I also plan on lowering my car later on down the road but i will worry about that when i get there.

Im looking into getting some 18" Z06s this summer for my car. I would get 295/35/18s but thats me. I dont think you will need any spacers for 56mm.

you'll most likely have to do some hammering going with anything over a 9.5

Spacers will only change whether you have to hammer on the inside of the fender lip versus the inner fender section behind the tire. Personally, I'd rather not use spacers (danger of the wheel coming off/loose)...and hammer inside the fender behind the wheel/tire (can replace undercoating and never know it was ever done).

Good luck with your decision.

I don't think you will need wheel spacers for your application. If you do rub, you could get a small spacer, but that might cause you to hit the outer lip depending if your car is lowered or not. I don't think you will have a problem but if you do, hammering would be the better option.
