Looking for front runner combo for M6 LT1

I've got a set of 15x10 Race Stars for the rear, looking at Hoosier Quick Time DOT (street classes rule out treadless).
Tire size probably 26" - 275 50 15

On the front, Are 17's more stable than 15's ?
I think I've got a choice of Hoosier
26 x 4.5 x 15 on a 15 x 3.75 rim
27.5 x 4.5 x 17 on a 17 x 4.5 rim
OK, as I've written that I can see there's bugger all in the tread difference.

Will the smaller rim/tyre combo look better?
Weigh Less?
