Et Street radial vs. ET streets
Has anyone done a writeup on the ET street radial vs the ET street?
I know the Et street radial is an r2 compound and the ET street is a m5 compound but I dont know the difference between them.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Et Street radial vs. ET streets
GMHTP magazine has done a write up on them, it was a few issues ago. They reported someone running a 7.9xx with them so I'd say they must hook pretty damn well.
I just ordered a pair in 275/50/15 from Summit today to replace my BFG drs, looking forward to trying them out soon. Ive never used ET streets but I hear these compare very well to them. The big plus for me is the ability to drive to the track and home with them on. I'll report back after I break mine in
BTW, thats one quick GP you have there, sounds sweet

Re: Et Street radial vs. ET streets
The ET Streets are a totally different tire and for a different performance level. If you're running in the 7's in the 1/8, then you will not need any more traction than the ET Street provides. I've ran low 7's with 1.6x 60' and have never spun an ET Street with a proper burnout....but it feels like your driving on banana peels on the street, curves at above 40mph are no fun.
Go for the ET Street radials, and if you have traction problems at the track then consider the ET streets with a smaller diameter rim so that you have a higher side wall to get a bigger contact path.
Also, ET Streets will get chewed up quick on regular pavement and asphualt.
I've also ran 1.7x 60' with BFG DRs.

Re: Et Street radial vs. ET streets
I love my M/T DRs...very very sticky and good street manners. I put them on before I go to the track and I can't really tell that I'm driving down the road on a DR.
Re: Et Street radial vs. ET streets
The ET street radials are about 10 lbs heavier per tire than the ET street. The sidewalls are more substantial and I think the tire has a ton better road manners. Both suck in the rain!!!
