Durability of SLP wheels

I was looking at the SLP ZR-1s and they have a set that are "painted." What exactly does this mean, they are a painted aluminum finish possibly? If this is the case, how durable is the finish on these rims? Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Re: Durability of SLP wheels

They're painted silver just like any other silver wheels.

If they're new, and you know how to keep them clean properly, they will last a very very long time. It's the same paint that is used on your car's body...

Just don't use acidic wheel cleaners, and don't let brake dust sit on them for too long, and the paint will stay in awesome shape. I polish and wax mine monthly, and clay them periodically too.

Re: Durability of SLP wheels

Thanks alot for the reply, I've been debating for along time whether to get chrome or painted. I have a black car and my personal preference is steering me towards the aluminum finish rims. Would you happen to have pics. of your rims on the car? I know you are running the SS style 10 spokes, but it still give me a general idea of the color. Also, I checked SLPs site, and I noticed that the SS 10 spokes are not listed. Is this a discontinued item? Is there another place to get them? Sorry for the additional questions, but I appreciate your help nonetheless.

SLP zr-1 wheels are just stock GM take offs. They're the same silver color of all other painted GM wheels. I wouldn't call them an aluminum finish by any means.
