Decent cheap wheels

I have a '95 Z28 and I HATE the stock salad shooters. They are ugly to begin with and the clearcoat is peeling badly. My car only has 60k on it and looks awesome Zaino'd up but the horrible wheels detract. Problem is I really wanna make it faster this year, plus I have another money pit begging to be faster too ('91 Talon AWD). What are some good wheels that won't set me back too much. I love the 5 spoke Firebird wheels, until last year SLP was selling take-offs at $200 a set but they no longer do. However I can get a set of these for about that on EBAY. Major bummer I missed a set of 5 spoke Camaro SS wheels that went for $152 on Ebay. So you think these firebird wheels would look decent on my Camaro??

You could get a used set of 5 spoke camaro wheels (think they were used from 97-99) for pretty cheap and I think theyd look better than the firebird wheels. I know a local guy here who was selling a chrome set for a ~200-250 I believe. I could check on them for you if you're interested.

Yea Eagle Alloy's are around $500 a set. That's not quite what I was talking about. Mucho differance between $200---->$500. Plus I like the idea of factory wheels. Some custom wheels don't hold up well. I had a set of Motegi wheels my my last DSM and they got totally trashed after one winter.

Steve O- yes please do!!! PM me if you find anything out.

Uh $450 is WAAAAAAY out of my price range didn't you read my original post?? Besides I'd never pay $450 for the same wheels I just missed for $150.

Thanks Steve O anyway, I'll just cruise EBAY and try to get lucky.

jeez, calm down there man, I was just offering you a good deal.

If you found OEM 5 spoke ZR1 wheels on ebay for $150, I'd say something is wrong and you probably will end up getting ripped off.

There are some real good deals out there, but I doubt they would sell high quality or OEM wheels for 150 when single ones go for much more then that.

Anyway, good luck finding a nice set of wheels for 150.

Well for one I'm not talking about ZR1 wheels, I'm talking about the same wheels you have. You must never watch EBAY, there are some real deals on there you just have to hit the right one. As far as finding a good set of factory wheels for $150, I already did. A set of 5 spokes off a '99 Firebird that have almost no miles on them. Figures now I'm hot for the SS wheels I just missed...........lol...........the guy is in no hurry to get rid of them so I can look awhile. Heck there are guys on EBAY asking $400 for a set of salad shooters, its a free market. If they get that more power to them, if you get $450 for yours more power to you. Don't get me wrong if your wheels are nice they are worth about that much....however I'm looking for a deal. Honestly if I was gonna pay that much I'd just get a set of brand new Eagles.

He HAS ZR1 wheels - re-read his post. He isn't talking about stock 5 spokes.
