What year car? What tires were on your car originally? It would help if you had a "signature" with basic info about the car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods.

There were 4 different tire sizes used on the 4th Gens (assuming that's what you have):

215/60-16 = 26.2"
235/55-16 = 26.2"
245/50-16 = 25.7"
275/40-17 = 25.7"

My car was a 16 inch wheel 93 z car. Currently has 275-40-17 all the way My main concern is the 18s. Have no clue on that signature thing and how to do that.
Thanks

An 18x9.5" wheel can run:

275/35-18 = 25.6"
285/35-18 = 25.9
295/35-18 = 26.1 (technically, this tire needs at least a 10.0" wide wheel)

The stock tires on the Z were 235/55-16. You only got the 245/50-16 tires if you opted for the Z-rated tires (RPO QLC). Check the sticker on your door.... it should show the original tire size.

The difference is split over the two sidewalls, so you are talking about a 1/20th of an inch difference - very hard to see. Also, each manufacturer sets his own dimensions. Those are typical of many manufacturers, but not all. The "nominal" diameter can vary +/- 0.10" from one manufacturer to another, or even within the different tire models from the same manufacturer.

Thanks allot, this eally helped, I believe I will go with the .1 shorter, and just look thru tire rack and find the ones that are about the same exact.
